My First Husband and My Second Husband
This is my ex-husband.
Also my first husband.
Currently, he could be called my fiancé.
He will soon be my second husband.
I’m thanking God in advance that he will be my forever husband.
Also, my 5 children’s papa bear.
It’s easy to see our age lines that are almost falling in the same places.
The bags under our eyes are from not sleeping for the last 4,490 days since we first became parents.
We’re stressed at some point each and every day, without fail. But, we can count our blessings every single day to be three times as long as our stressors.
We’re exhausted, I mean a crazy exhausted. But, we can likewise run circles around most people after learning to juggle 5 kids.
We’ve experienced a hatred and deep pain during an unforgiving period of time. But, we then surrendered for God to intervene and allowed His love and His grace and His forgiveness to take over our hearts.
A year ago yesterday, our divorce was final. And now, on a designated date in the near future, we will be remarried in our Catholic Church.
What we’ve endured and overcome, it’s truly His victory. He gets our glory ...
Our story is messy and painful and sometimes hard to revisit. But it’s likewise miraculous. It has the Hand of God all over it. Our story is rare and victorious.
